All with open hearts and minds are welcome! We will share a community feast after ritual. Please bring a dish to share.
As the wheel turns, Silver Circle gathers to honour Imbolc, the festival of returning light, inspiration, and renewal. This sacred night invites us to step from winter’s stillness into the gentle promise of rebirth, guided by Brigid—goddess of healing, poetry, and the sacred flame.
In old Irish custom, the eve of Imbolc was marked by the laying out of the Brat Bríde—Brigid’s Mantle. A piece of cloth, ribbon, or garment was placed outside overnight so that Brigid might bless it as she passed through the land. The cloth, touched by her presence, was believed to gain healing properties and was kept throughout the year to soothe illness, protect the household, and bring comfort in times of need.
We will call upon Brigid as the Keeper of the Well and the Flame—she who tends the fires of transformation and the waters of restoration. Through guided working, community intention, and shared energy, we will invite her healing presence into our lives, our bodies, and our spirits.
After the ritual, we will share in a communal feast. Please bring a dish to contribute to the table. Imbolc is a time of nourishment and renewal, and our shared meal is a celebration of community, abundance, and the returning light.
